Strengthening Toowoomba's Cultural Heart
Located in the heart of Toowoomba’s cultural precinct, the Toowoomba Regional Arts and Community Centre (TRACC) will be a unique, medium-sized, flexible venue for performing arts in the region. The venue will provide a ‘black box’ theatre with state-of-the-art facilities ideal for a multitude of purposes including youth theatre, intimate performances, education and film.
An analysis of the available community spaces in Toowoomba and the surrounding region has identified the need for a medium-sized facility for use by professional and community groups. The
venue will feature high quality technical equipment and facilities including retractable seating and a cable-net tension wire grid providing safe access to lighting and rigging equipment.
Boasting pleasant surrounds including an outdoor piazza as well as relaxing foyer and bar spaces the TRACC will enhance the Empire Theatre Precinct and provide an essential facility for the Toowoomba region.
