Seedling - Young Playwrights Competition
Term-Based Workshops
Term-based workshops will be held throughout 2013 for young performers. Get involved and develop your skills outside of the classroom.
Drama One | Grades 5-7
Have fun with like-minded people by learning basic performance and creative skills while building your self-confidence and focus through exciting drama activities.

Drama Two | Grades 8-10
Develop your drama and performance skills in a passionate and supportive environment and create original, devised and scripted outcomes.

Drama Plus | Grades 11 to Young Adult
Gain a deeper understanding of your world through drama and performance. Drama Plus goes beyond classroom learning to prepare you for the industry.

The IMPACT Ensemble
Presented by Empire Youth Arts, the IMPACT Ensemble is an elite performance program for young artists. Entry is based on audition and the ensemble will work for a semester to create, develop and rehearse a polished performance piece for audiences at the Empire Theatre. The IMPACT Ensemble's Semester One performance was Nick Enright's Blackrock, and its Semester Two performance was 10 Down, 6 Across.
In Semester One 2013 the IMPACT Ensemble will perform Slut. Read more and purchase tickets.
Seedling - Young Playwrights Competition
The Seedling Young Playwrights Competition aims to support and develop a young and emerging playwright/s in regional Queensland aged 12-18. The winner will receive professional script development and dramaturgy AND their work will be rehearsed and presented by our elite IMPACT Ensemble in November, 2013. Playwrighting applications are now closed.

Winter Holidays - Acting for Film

Always wanted to see yourself on the silver screen? Get out of the cold and in front of a camera these winter holidays! Our Acting For Film Workshop caters for 14-18 year olds. Run by industry professionals, it will give you all the inside knowledge you need to handle yourself in front of a camera. Book your spot now!
Spring Holidays - Singing with Opera Queensland
WHEN 30 September - 4 October
Queensland's best opera singers are coming to town! This exciting program will give performers aged 13 and over the opportunity to work with professional artists and learn exciting and challenging repertoires.
