Holiday Workshops

Circa Workshop- Circus Mix- Taste of Circus

Thursday 16 April, 2pm

Get tricky with it! Bounce into cartwheels, flips, rolls and somersaults. Learn the art of duo, trio and group balances. Stand on your hands and stand on each other.

Circa delivers a range of practical workshops and masterclasses in contemporary circus for children, young people and adults in your community. For schools, circus workshops by Circa are a brilliant support tool for arts education students in primary, secondary and tertiary learning contexts. These activities scaffold the Circa performance, deepen peoples’ engagement in the experience and provide lifelong skills in a unique way.

These workshops will be facilitated by company members of the Carnival of the Animals production.

Workshop level- For beginners, aged 5-17yrs

Circa Workshop- Circus Tricks- Foundation of Circus

Thursday 16 April, 2pm

Experience everything from acrobalance to handstands and tumbling. An encouraging, creative environment that’s challenging and loads of fun.

These activities scaffold the Circa performance, deepen peoples’ engagement in the experience and provide lifelong skills in a unique way.

These workshops will be facilitated by company members of the Carnival of the Animals production.

For students with some dance and gymnastic experience, aged 8-17yrs.
