Sit on the chair, brush back your hair and smile!

According to Brad I now have (or could have) a portfolio of photos as Mary took so many of my face!
It was only because I was nervous to have some people watching me and couldn’t relax so she snapped until I did, it only took about five minutes...okay that sounds like a long time, never mind!

I had a huge laugh when Brad and I walked back on stage, after the head shots, to find the dancer’s warming up and there’s Jono down on the ground trying to stretch with them, it was so funny!
The music was pumping and Jono is there trying to stretch his leg while the dancer beside him is doing it so effortlessly. He tried... ;)
Brad got down with him while Patrick and I wisely stood back and watched, when I can do it then I’ll try but if I had done it on Monday...um...yah...

We read through and locked the ‘Poppies’ scene (which is actually the last scene of Act 1) we had Alison playing the Wicked Witch and me tagging along behind the Lion, I have to hold onto his tail and we had such laughs as visions of the tail popping off mid scene kept coming to mind and with Brad playing out reactions to that, LOL!

On Sunday we started out by singing with Melissa, and Matt in the studio. I was a bit nervous being the only girl trying to sing as loud as three guys. But it went well and Melissa is really nice and Matt is an awesome pianist!

Then we went through the ‘Town Square’ scene, Scarecrow looks so funny onstage with all the beauticians swinging his arms and body about, compared to Tinman who has to be stiff and straight.

During lunchtime we all sang ‘Happy Birthday!’ to Jono who turned eighteen that day, it was nice to sit down with everyone and share sandwiches, soft drink, and cake. Jono proved he’s a good cook! He baked a chocolate cake and brought some rocky road as well, yum!

With lunch over we went over the scene when we discover the Wizard isn’t actually a Wizard, shock! ;) Then after Russell left we continued going over the Scarecrow’s dance then it was Tinman’s turn and the Lion’s. Then we worked with Kent on the scene when we first approach the Emerald City, boy I laughed! But I won’t say why...as that would be telling...hee hee.

‘Till my next post...

Wuvs me xoxo
