The Empire Theatre conducts two types of tours - an historical tour and a technical tour. Why not organise a group to take advantage of this offer?

 

Historical Tours

The Empire Theatre is a magnificent, Heritage listed building. It has been carefully restored to its 1933 origin and boasts a spectacular art deco heritage.

Regular Historical Tours of the Empire Theatre are conducted throughout the year.

These tours include:

  • A complete guided tour of the Theatre including back stage areas and function rooms
  • An interesting historical account of the Empire's early years 
  • An exciting sound and light show inside the auditorium
  • Morning or afternoon tea

Cost: $8.00 per person

 

Technical Tours

We also offer Technical Tours to students from Grade 4 onwards.  These tours showcase our state of the art facilities and provide students with a practical insight into the workings of the Theatre.

These tours may be planned to suit your syllabus needs, from a brief familiarisation tour to more extensive technical training for senior students.
