Empire Youth Arts is back in Term Two! We have three levels of workshops for different age groups - Drama One (Grades 5-7), Drama Two (Grades 8 to 10) and Drama Plus (Grades 11 to Young Adult). Come along and build your self-confidence, drama skills and performance outcomes!

Drama One (Grades 5 to 7; Ages 10 to 12)

Use your imagination! Build your self-confidence! Communicate without fear! Act and play a variety of characters in a whole new world of contexts. All, while having fun! Drama One is about learning basic performance and creative skills and at the same time building self-confidence and focus, while working with like-minded young poeple. Students will be given the opportunity to share their skills in a performance.

Every Saturday morning 10am to 11.30am

TERM 2 starts 21 April and runs for 8 weeks

Drama Two (Grades 8 to 10; Ages 13 to 15)

Extend yourself and gain a deeper understanding of all aspects of drama. These classes are designed to support the work you do at school, while building your confidence and performance skills. Work with like-minded peers in a passionate environment towards original, devised and scripted outcomes. Utilise all of your creative skills as you become a passionate young artist skilled in a variety of drama and theatre genres.

Every Wednesday afternoon 4pm to 5.30pm

TERM 2 starts 2 May and runs for 8 weeks

Drama Plus (Grades 11 to Young Adult; Ages 16+)

This program is designed for students wanting to learn more advanced drama skills, suited to development and growth of post-Secondary school creative work and potential tertiary study. The course will establish a framework where students can perfect drama skills, through writing, directing and performing their own and each other's work. It will provide unique opportunities to build creative learning at a level above curriculum learning.

Every Wednesday afternoon 6pm to 7.30pm
