Toowoomba Philharmonic Society presents

Grease

The Toowoomba Philharmonic Society Inc. brings the Rydell High senior class of ’59 to the Empire Theatre stage with Grease, the musical that took the world by storm!

Two worlds collide as sweet schoolgirl Sandy and bad-boy Danny find themselves face to face in their senior year following a whirlwind summer romance. Danny fights to keep his cool guy persona alive while attempting to win back innocent Sandy’s heart – not easy to do when you have a rebellious rep to think of! Through musical favourites Summer Nights, You’re the One That I Want, Beauty School Dropout, Born to Hand-Jive, Sandra Dee and of course, Greased Lightning, the couple struggles to keep up with their high school cliques as they fall deeper into young love.

Roll with the hot rod lovin’ Burger Place Boys and the fiery Pink Ladies through school days, the long-awaited high school prom and run-ins with the rival greaser gang. With a cast of the best local talent as all your favourite characters from the hit film including Rizzo, Frenchy, Sonny and Kenickie, the Toowoomba Philharmonic Society’s production of Grease is sure to sweep the field with this wonderful tale of unlikely teen love.

So dust off your leather jackets and start practising your hand jive, as we are about to burn down the quarter mile in electrifying style!
