Led by Helena Rathbone (Founding Director & Principal Violin), the ACO Collective combines Australia’s most talented emerging string players with the professional musicians of the Australian Chamber Orchestra to create a highenergy 17-piece string orchestra.
In 2021, ACO Collective will embark on a regional tour, taking audiences on a thrilling journey as the group celebrates two seminal Italian masterworks, interspersed with two brand new Australian works.
From the world premiere of Australian composer Paul Stanhope’s Giving Ground, along with Australian Winter, a new work by local composer Holly Harrison, to Vivaldi’s ever popular The Four Seasons and La Follia by Vivaldi’s contemporary, Geminiani, this will be an evening unlike any other!
“The collective sound of [ACO Collective] is exquisite and homogenous, a tribute to the musicians of the Australian Chamber Orchestra, who have sought these rare talents.” – THE SYDNEY MORNING HERALD
