THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED TO SUNDAY 18 APRIL 2021, 3pm.
Featuring a stunning cast of over 30 world-class dancers, musicians and actors and exquisitely choreographed by choreographer and dancer Kylie Wall, Cloudland the Musical is visually and musically spectacular!
Cloudland the Musical is a unique tribute to the many legendary Australian and international performers who graced the Cloudland stage. Featuring the music of The Bee Gees, Buddy Holly, Dragon, The Angels, Jerry Lee Lewis, UB40, Icehouse, Johnny O’Keefe, Midnight Oil, Australian Crawl, Normie Rowe, Tony Worsley, Split Enz, The Sports, Bill Haley, The Stray Cats and Paul Anka. Made up of predominantly Australian works, many of which have been specifically arranged for the nine piece band in this production.
Cloudland the Musical is in part a chronological journey of factual information and anecdotes collected from performers and staff of Cloudland. These factual elements have been interwoven into the story of a fictitious, yet typical, Australian suburban family and the way in which Cloudland impacts each of their lives, from the Post War 40s to Early 80s.
Collectively, the talented cast of actors, dancers and musicians tell the story and celebrate the impact this incredible venue had on the lives of thousands of people for almost half a century.
Cloudland the Musical is supported by the Queensland Government through Arts Queensland
