World music favourites MZAZA bring you their brand new show, The Birth and Death of Stars. After a successful Queensland tour in 2017, these warm and consummate performers return with a show that encourages us to take a step away from our daily lives to contemplate our place in the universe.
The Birth and Death of Stars draws inspiration from history’s philosophers and astronomers, leading us on a wonderful voyage through the ether to explore what links us to each other and the world around us in ways that are poetic, moving and at times funny.
Driven by their eclectic backgrounds and European influences the members of MZAZA will take you on a musical ride built on exotic rhythms that make you smile and melodies that tap into the beating heart of humankind.
Lead by enchanting French vocalist Pauline Maudy, this group of talented musicians and songwriters from Bosnia, Latvia, Greece, Turkey, France and Australia will mesmerise you with inspired performances on accordion, violin, shah kaman, percussion, double-bass and guitar.
