We all sit on the cusp of a significant ‘almost’ at some point in our lives.
From the moment of almost saying I love you to a best friend, to discovering what it means to be in it for the long run; from opening your heart to love again, to finding closure from an old wound, life is filled to the brim with ‘almosts’
This production of Almost, Maine is a bittersweet, irreverent celebration of the extraordinary happenings of ordinary people. Through stupidity and vulnerability, we explore the snapshots that playwright John Cariani offers up of ourselves existing, loving and figuring it out.
Here comes a play that is funny, sad but most of all friendly, following the hopes, dreams and disappointments of nine old, new and potential loves as they find the meaning of their own ‘almost.’
