MAMMA MIA tells the hilarious and heart-warming story of a young woman’s search for her birth father. On the eve of her wedding, a daughter’s quest to discover the identity of her father brings three men from her mother’s past back to the island they last visited 20 years ago.

James is one of Australias most versatile Music Theatre and Performing Arts professionals, with his career taking him around Australia and the world to Asia, the USA, Europe and the Middle East.
James was honored to be mentored by Broadway and international creatives, and has been responsible for the rehearsal and maintenance of International productions of Mamma Mia! and Chicago.
With experience in genres including Music Theatre, Opera and Concerts, James theatre credits include Wicked , RENT, Little Shop of Horrors, Cabaret, Titanic, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Spring Awakening, Chicago, Mamma Mia!, and one of his favorite shows; Jekyll and Hyde with the late Rob Guest.
He has worked for companies including Nickelodeon, The Wiggles, and Smurfs Live, Tokyo Disney, Universal Studios Japan, The Lord Mayors Christmas Carols, Cunard, P&O and Queensland Symphony Orchestra.

Craig Renshaw was most recently music director of Matt Ward Entertainment’s production of Wicked at Home of the Arts on the Gold Coast and is very pleased to return to The Empire Theatre for this production. He will be remembered for his banter and energetic conducting in the 2018 production of Essgee’s Pirates of Penzance.

Tess Hill is a Brisbane based teacher, choreographer and director. Her credits include Into the Woods (Gold Coast Arts Centre – choreographer), Rent (Brisbane Powerhouse – choreographer and assistant director), Cabaret, A Cabaret (The Performers Studio – choreographer), This is Our Youth (Metro Arts – assistant director), Rent (QPAC – choreographer), Spring Awakening (Metro Arts - Assistant Director and assistant choreographer) Reagan Kelley (Metro Arts – Assistant Director), The Unreal Real Housewives of the Gold Coast (HOTA – Choreographer).

In line with the Federal Government’s ban on indoor public gatherings over 100 people the Empire Theatre is now closed.
All performances between now and April 30 will be cancelled or postponed until later in the year.
